ACV Shampoo -> ACV Rinse -> ACV Scalp Scrub | DIY
Hi Guys!
(ACV = Apple Cider Vinegar)
ACV BENEFITS: Reduces dandruff, flaking and itchy scalp. Balances PH levels so fungus and bacteria have a hard time surviving on your scalp. ACV closes the cuticle (outer layer of our hair) leaving you with less frizz, shinier hair and fewer tangles. It also encourages hair growth by stimulating circulation and unclogging hair follicles. ACV is packed
Recipe 1: ACV Shampoo
- 1/2 cup Aloe Vera
- 1/4 cup Water
- 1/4 cup ACV
- Optional- Tea Trea Essential Oil
I played around with this recipe so much and I finally got it right! ACV can be drying on my hair BUT it’s such a good clarifier. So I added herbs to infuse nutrients and aloe to infuse moisture into the recipe. To make the Herb infused ACV: Add thyme, rosemary, or lavender to an air tight jar and fill with ACV. Let it sit for 1-4 weeks. You can use this in any of these recipes where ACV is needed.

Recipe 2: ACV Rinse
- Mix 2 parts water
- 1 part Vinegar
- Optional 5-10 drops of essential oil
This treatment is great for removing product buildup when your hair has tangles, itchy scalp, dandruff, and stiff hair. Most hair products are alkaline based and our hair is healthiest when it’s acidic. Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) when diluted with water can help balance PH levels. Shampoo your hair and squeeze out all of the water. Pour the mixture into your hair and leave it on for a few minutes and rinse. Style as usual!

Recipe 3: ACV Sea Salt Scalp Scrub
- 3 tbsp Sea Salt
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 tbsp Honey
This is INSTANT RELIEF for dry, flakey scalp. Shampoo your hair clean and apply directly on your scalp and scrub for 5 mins. Leave it on for 10-15 mins and rinse. Repeat weekly. Sea salt exfoliates the dead skin, unclogs hair follicles. ACV prevents fungal and bacterial growth. Honey soothes irritated scalp and is antibacterial. **DO A PATCH TEST BEFORE APPLYING ANY OF THESE ALL OVER.
