Jumbo Cornrows Tutorial

Jumbo Cornrows are perfect for camouflaging unwashed hair. In this tutorial I will provide you with some helpful tips to make sure your cornrows turn out perfectly every time.

Sometimes I like to braid my hair in this style while my hair is wet and sleep on it. In the morning I unravel the braids and have an amazing curl pattern!

Definitely a go-to style this season.

  1. Section your hair in half from the front of the hairline all the way to the back.
  2. Section each half in half, creating 4 equal sections.
  3. To start the braid, take a small triangle section and split it into 3 equal pieces.
  4. Add a new piece of hair into the right piece and bring it under the center.
  5. Add a new piece of hair into the left piece and bring it under the center as well.
  6. Continue this pattern until there is no hair left to add into your braid, and start a regular 3 strand braid for the remaining hair.
  7. Once all four sections are complete, bring two braids over each shoulder and twist them together.
  8. Finish it off with a clear elastic band!
