Reverse Balayage Makeover

The “Reverse Balayage” technique blends darker hair color from the root into lighter hair. It is the exact opposite to classic balayage in which highlights are painted into the hair.

We’re going to utilize this technique to blend natural hair color into blonde hair extensions.  This color application will help balance the stark contrast between the natural hair and extensions. It is the perfect remedy for adding dimension and depth to flat hair color.

By applying the darker color to the roots and painting it downwards, we are able to achieve a gradient ombre.  The lowlights create just enough movement in her hair color without compromising the BLONDE end result that we are after.
